After last weekโs increased intensity that comes with working on our inner parts skillfully, learning how to understand what they need rather than criticizing them for their failed strategies, I thought this would be a good week for more light-hearted recommendations. Turns out, though, that even though all of these are profound in some Character x Design way, they are not necessarily light-hearted. Dive in anyway.
1. How to With John Wilson is a documentary series about unexpected connections and is filmed in what felt to me an utterly original way. I donโt really know what โitโs aboutโ other than loose and unexpected connections between things you take for gratned, so maybe this trailer will help:
2. May this be your commitment to everything you do:
3. The United States was a literal mess after a mob attacked the US Capitol. These โOH-NO-YOUDIDNT!โ folks didnโt just bitch and whine at their twitter feeds, they up and did something about it:
Upset by veterans who stormed the Capitol, these vets decided to clean up trash the mob left on the streets of D.C.
4. Reading is Character medicine.
Whatโs the best book youโve read recently and the book youโre most excited to read next? To what extent do you feel your life open and expand when you read? What prevents you from reading more consistently?
5. Why has Bernie taken over the internet? Because he was cold and wore hand-made artisanal mittens to the inauguration, unconcerned what other power-brokers would think of him. Compare with Ted Cruz, who dressed like a suave gentleman, hiding complete and utter corruption within. No wonder The Boss has a new crush.
