CxD #260 ๐Wonderful๐ and Powerful Podcast Episode Dead Eyes ๐๐๏ธ๐๏ธ๐ w/ Tom Hanks
This week I want yโall to focus on just two offerings.
The main course is the last episode in the podcast series Dead Eyes, about Connor Ratliff, a young actor who almost lands a role on the show Band of Brothers until Tom Hanks crushes his dream.
The reason given? Hanks alleges that heโd like another actor for the part because young Connor has โdead eyes.โ The loss of this part continues to haunt Ratliff for years, until he decides to produce a podcast about the experience and the vagaries of fate and the cruelties of show biz. Thatโs just the rough backdrop, and the podcast is endearing and entertaining.
But our business is not with such. On the profound last episode, #31, Tom Hanks is the guest and the two men have a chance to revisit the incident and to talk about the hardships and uncertainties of life and how to live with Grace regardless.
This episode has more character and character designing insights and wisdom than most things Iโve encountered in a long time. It is profound and a joy to listen to and learn from.Do not miss it.
