1. Most films go for thrills, usually of the cheap variety—heighten your pulse, scratch the itch for excitement, move on to the next explosion. Pig promises thrills and gives you something profound instead. I watched it because it does have a pig in it; and Nicolas Cage who loves this pig. I needed exactly zero other reasons to watch, but am still thinking about its world long after the last song and credits have rolled—I’d write more, but that would be a disservice to you. This is one of those “trust me” recommendations. Streaming on AppleTv is where I found it.
2. When people do dumb shit to hurt others, it’s because they live from fear, however deep down and unconscious. How’s your relationship to fear? Have you grown strong enough so you aren’t forced into violent reactions?

The last stars will die out 120 trillion years from now (at most) followed by 10^106 years of just black holes. Condensed, that's like the universe starting with 1 second of stars and then a billion billion billion billion billion billion billion years of just black holes. Stars are basically the immediate after-effects of the Big Bang. A one-second sizzle of brightness before settling into an essentially endless era of darkness. We live in that one bright second.
3. And we get to share that bright second with these creatures!

5. It’s always too early to despair.
